Jessica graduated from Muskingum
College in 1983 with a triple major – political science,
economics and business. She then attended Whittier
College of Law in California for a year before moving to
Iowa where she attended the University of Iowa College
of Law. She graduated from that institution in 1986.
She began work at the Iowa law firm of Hirsch, Adams,
Hoth & Krekel before moving to Toledo in 1988. She
joined the law firm of Marshall & Melhorn. She was a
member of the litigation department and became a partner
there.
In 1997 she and her husband, Richard, formed the firm of
Kerger & Kerger. She is presently one of the owners of
Kerger & Hartman, LLC. She handles litigation and
appellate matters, with an emphasis in employment law
and appellate work.
Jessica is admitted to practice in the United States
Supreme Court, the Sixth and Eighth Circuit Courts of
Appeals as well as all federal and state trial courts in
Ohio and Iowa. She is a member of the American, Federal,
Ohio and Toledo Bar Associations and is a member of the
Federal Court Committee of the Toledo Bar Association.
She is also a past president of the Toledo Women’s Bar
Association. |
